A seven-days long quickie (news): Merry Spicy Christmas with the Sex Toy Advent Calendars
A brief overview of what’s happened over the last week #InSearchOfPleasure.
Merry Spicy Christmas: the best 2018 Sex-themed advent calendars
This year, many sex toy brands have released their spicy and kink version of the traditional Christmas Advent Calendar.
Lovehoney: Fifty Shades of Advent Calendar
Uk’s largest online sex toy retailer Lovehoney is selling up to 6 versions of Christmas Advent Calendar.
The traditional Couple’s Sex Toy 24-door Advent Calendar includes £250 worth of sex toys including “hand-picked award-winners, cult favourites and fabulous newbies”.
For 50 Shades nostalgic there’s the Fifty Shades of Grey version with 24 black and silver toys and bondage items or the Fifty Shades Freed-themed gift set for “ten incredible days of sexual intrigue and delight” with purple-coloured toys and accessories.
The 12-day Lingerie Calendar is a collection of sexy lingerie looks available in two versions: One size (to fit UK sizes 8-16) and Plus Size (to fit UK sizes 18-24).
Another option is the 12-piece Mega Couple’s Sex Toy Kit “to shake up and sex up your evenings”.
Every year the Berlin-based pleasure objects online store Amorelie promotes its aquamarine version of Advent Calendar filled with top quality sex toys from the biggest brands in the industry.
It’s available in 2 version: Classic and Premium.
In October, Amorelie opened its first pop up store in Berlin that looked like a life-sized advent calendar.
Swiss online store Amorana tried to air a sexless commercial of its Advent Calendar on Switzerland’s public broadcaster, SRF, but it was banned although there’s no mention of sex toys or sex in the advert. In the video, there’s a man taking a sniff of a scented candle and proclaiming it a great Christmas present. A woman in superheroine-ish tights storms in, slaps him on the face and shoves the Advent calendar into his arms saying “THAT is a great Christmas present”.
Amorana is not new to bans: last year tried to air an ad titled ‘This is Love’, loaded with bare skin, heavy breathing and homo and heterosexual kissing, that was deemed too much even for YouTube.
This year’s Advent Calendar comes in two versions, Classic and Premium, the latter featuring a Womanizer toy.
Bijoux Indiscrets: elegant calendar with the diamond vibrator
Bijoux Indiscrets debuted with its first 12-day Advent Calendar: an edition not too Christmasy and suitable for every month of the year, called 12 SEXY DAYS and featuring 12 iconic products, including the famous vibrating diamond and some sensual body jewels and BDSM inspired accessories.
First trailer for After: the new Fifty Shades for teens
History repeats itself.
Fifty Shades of Grey started out as an erotic fan fiction spin-off of “Twilight”, then became a best-selling trilogy and then a money machine with the release of the movie adaptations.
Now it’s the turn for After, the best-selling young adult novel by Anna Todd started out as a fan fiction inspired by the cheeky Harry Styles of One Direction, that’s being made into a movie – a teenagers version of Fifty Shades- scheduled to be released in April 2019 in the US. Last Friday was released the first trailer which has already been attacked by viewers for ‘glorifying unhealthy relationships’.
We never learn.
A sex doll repair service based in California is promoting a ‘spa day’ for 2thousand dollars aimed at rejuvenating the doll back to factory condition. The treatment includes “injury repair” and a professional boudoir photo shoot to immortalise the “beautiful, restored look” of sex dolls.
Shopping center apologises for erotic polar bear display
A shopping center on the Isle of Man has issued an apology after some customers noticed that the two life-sized polar bears used for Christmas arrangement had been positioned as though they were having sex doggy-style.
Apparently, there was even another bear-voyeur in the corner that looked like he was watching the couple.
“We’d like to thank our customers for getting a little too into Christmas this year with our Polar Bears in the atrium,” read the post, “and can reassure you the display has changed somewhat since setup. Apologies to anybody offended by our somewhat interactive display.”
Chinese erotic novelist jailed for 10 years for gay sex scenes
A judicial interpretation issued in 1998 by China’s supreme court states that selling more than 5,000 copies of pornographic books or making more than 10,000 yuan (US$1,400) from their sale is regarded as an “especially serious circumstance”, which carries a sentence of “imprisonment for not less than 10 years or life”.
On this old legal basis, the erotic Chinese writer known by her internet alias Tianyi has been given a 10 year sentence for writing and selling a novel which featured gay sex scenes. The novel named Occupy is about a “forbidden love affair between a teacher and a student” and sold 7,000 copies through the internet making a profit of 150,000 yuan.
